The 15th China Educational Robot contest “Abilix Cup” Held in Shanghai

From Nov. 14 to 16, 2014, the 15th China Educational Robot contest “Abilix Cup” was held in Shanghai. About 1,200 participants, instructors, experts and scholars attended this event. Dean Li Xiaoliang from Chinese Technology Association, Teenager Technology Center, Associate Dean Meng Xing, Deputy librarian Wang Xiaowu from National Center for Educational Technology, Professor Lu Lian from Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Zhao Mingguo from Tsinghua University and robot experts from USA, Brazil, India etc. had attended the opening ceremony which was hosted by Huang Xinhan, Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and dean of intelligent robot committee. China Educational Robot contest “Abilix Cup” is the one that has the longest history and most robot tasks in China.



2014 World Educational Robot (WER) China, which was held at the same time, had invited winning teams that had stood out in regional contests all over China to participate in the contest this time. Teams and their teachers who enter the “Top Three” list will enjoy the privilege to represent China to attend the 2015 International contest that will be held in Canada.



The 2014 World Educational Robot Forum, another event that was held at the same time, attracted experts and scholars from the industry of educational robotics all over the world. The forum aimed to provide a chance of communication on robot skills at home and abroad, to share the experience and accomplishment of robot education from different countries.






The contest gains support from the government and experts from home and abroad.
